1 hour Individual Assessment & Treatment Plan
OUR AIM: Assess. Educate. Empower. Inspire.
An individual tailored exercise program is the key to successful rehabilitation or prevention. Our Exercise Physiologists take the time to get to know your medical history, your lifestyle, your goals and activities of daily living. We use a program called Physitrack – which allows us to engage, educate and stay connected with you while collecting real-time outcomes data. Physitrack is an engagement platform to help manage your entire journey.
Your Initial assessment may include the objective analysis of: strength, core stability, cardiovascular fitness, endurance, balance and proprioception, flexibility or mobility and allows the practitioner to track your progress (collect objective data so we can re assess you and test your improvement!).
The main outcome of the Initial assessment is to create a specific goal-focused exercise program, where you will know what to expect every step of the way.
Your home exercise program -what specifics will be addressed:
- How many repetitions & sets (specifically increasing the numbers as you progress)
- How many times per week?
- How many weeks?
- How will this help me? Which component of fitness is it targeting?
- What home based equipment will be used? (swiss ball, thera band, exercise bike, foam roll, dumbells, etc),
We can also specifically design a program at your local gym or help you transition into group hydrotherapy classes (or land based exercise groups)
Exercise physiology is recognised by:
- Department of Veterans Affairs
- Workers Compensation insurers
- Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurers.
- Most major private health funds
- Medicare Australia
Here are some great questions to ask your Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP):
- Can you help me regain strength and function after injury?
- Given my condition what is the best way to exercise?
- How can I exercise safely?
- What are the best exercises for me?
- What are my options for exercise?
